While some elementary school students are spending their summers on vacation, or at summer camp, this group of girls is spending numerous hours a week gearing up for the opportunity of a lifetime.
The Balcones North Softball team has qualified for the PONY World Series in Laredo, Texas. This group of 8-9-year-old girls is making history in the town of Salado, accomplishing something no girls softball team has accomplished.
The Tournament will be held from July 18-22 and they are trying to reach their goal of $10,000 to get there.
