Baylor women’s tennis head coach Joey Scrivano announced the addition of Livia Kraus to the fall roster on Tuesday afternoon.

Kraus, who was born in Vienna, Austria, and now lives in Nieder-Olm, Germany, is ranked as high as No. 42 nationally and No. 525 among junior players by the International Tennis Federation (ITA).

“We are excited to welcome Livia to the Baylor tennis family,” Scrivano said. “She’s an impressive young lady with great maturity. We really like her game, she plays with a lot of character and efficiency. I have no doubt that she's an impact player with a bright future. We’re looking forward to having her join us on campus."

A three-time regional Rhen-land-Ptalz champion, Kraus has placed first in the Head Cup Bruchkobel, the Augo Lang Bodensee Junior Open and the TE Tournament in Keims. She also finished runner-up at the Jugend Trainiert for Olympia.

Kraus joins Dominika Sujova and Kristina Sorokolet in Scrivano’s 2017 signing class. The trio will begin competing with Baylor in the fall, along with six returners.
