A horse died during a rodeo on Friday.
The Finals Rodeo took place at the Extraco Events Center.
The Extraco Events Center Management and the Rodeo Committee at the Ram Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo had to act quickly to treat one of the bucking horses during the Bareback Riding competition.
Dr. Clark, the veterinarian on call for the Extraco Events Center, was at the horse's side immediately to help.
"There was no delay in the horse being treated," said Wes Allison, President and CEO of the Extraco Events Center.
"The horse appeared to have suffered acute aneurysm and was unable to be resuscitated," said Dr. Clark.
"We regret this happened and implemented the emergency procedures in place to handle this situation," said Allison.
