The two people who died after a crash on U.S. Highway 84 have been identified.
The Department of Public Safety said the crash happened on U.S. Highway 84, east of FM 1245 Thursday morning.
The driver of a Buick, Carlton Brown, 44, was traveling westbound crossed over into the eastbound lane, striking a Toyota, being driven by Ronnie Dean Perry 55.
Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.
Brown was from Mexia, and Perry was from Hewitt.
No other occupants were in the vehicles. DPS is still conducting investigations.
