Slideshow: CTX cities ranked in the bottom 10 in housing market health

In a recent study, two Central Texas cities ranked in the “Bottom 10” housing markets.
Waco ranked sixth in the list and College Station-Bryan ranked eighth.
Nationwide Economics found that a number of metropolitan statistical area (MSA), which are geographical regions that are high in population, tied to the energy sector were weakening as a result of an impact on lower oil prices.
The study was mostly concentrated in Texas, including cities such as San Angelo, Midland, Austin-Round Rock, Laredo, Dallas-Plano-Irving, and Victoria.
The study found that the slowdowns in the energy sector was affecting job growth in the area and the housing sustainability on energy intensive areas, such as those found in Texas.
