A Waco woman who went on a violent rampage against elderly family members has been sentenced to probation.
Vanessa Leann Wilkerson, 28, pleaded guilty to class A assault for the June 2013 incident. Police say Wilkerson became enraged after her relatives refused to give her money to buy alcohol.
Wilkerson beat her disabled great-uncle, her great-aunt, and her 88-year-old great-grandmother, who tried to intervene.
Her great-grandmother sustained a broken arm from the assault.
Wilkerson was given 36 days in jail, which was converted to 2 years probation, with the stipulation that she have no contact with the victims.
