Judge denies bond reduction for Bandidos member

For the first time since the Twin Peaks shooting, a biker gang member who went before a judge to have his bond reduction did not have that happen.

At a hearing, 54th District Court Judge Matt Johnson decided to keep Bandidos member Marcus Pilkington, of Mexia, behind bars with a $1 million bond because he had a lengthy criminal history, plus he was already out on bond for another crime that happened before the May 17 incident.

However, Judge Johnson did lower the bond for another Bandidos member, Reginald Weathers, from $1 million to $250,000. Weathers was still in the McLennan County jail Wednesday night.

Weathers, who was shot in the upper body in the Twin Peaks incident, told the judge the Cossacks started the gunfight.
