While searching for fugitive, authorities find stolen guns, drugs; 3 arrested

While searching for a fugitive on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List, the Leon County Sheriff's Office arrested three and found drugs and guns, some of which were stolen, during a search of an area house.

On Monday, authorities went to the 3800 block of CR 278 in Buffalo on a report that Dennis Sandoval, of Buffalo, might be there. Sandoval is wanted for forgery and escape from confinement out of Freestone County, as well as for failure register as a sex offender.

DPS recently added Sandoval to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list, and a $3,000 cash reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

Their investigation led authorities to serve a narcotics search warrant at the home. Authorities recovered over three ounces of methamphetamine, an ounce of marijuana, and several types of illegally obtained prescription drugs, along with drug paraphernalia.

38 firearms, some of which were stolen, were also found in the home, but Sandoval was not found. Three people were also arrested following the search.

Leon Jefferies faces a charge of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance, Christopher Meuse has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Brittney Burleson has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
