Simona Barca serves as the Neighborhood Reporter for College Station and Texas A&M University.
Simona Barca has been the evening news anchor at 15ABC since March, 2023.
She was born in Moldova, a small country in Eastern Europe which borders Ukraine, and moved to the Atlanta area with her family when she was 9-years-old.
She graduated from American University in Washington D.C. with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a minor in Justice and Law. While in college, she took advantage of being in the nation’s capital by interning at several media organizations, including C-SPAN.
After graduating in 2021, she took a job as a Producer-in-Residence in Beaumont, TX. From there she was quickly promoted to a daily reporter and she also filled in as an anchor.
When she’s not chasing the next story, she’s traveling, reading, trying new coffee shops, re-watching Law and Order SVU for the hundredth time, shopping or working out.
