Raygan Lopez is a Texan through and through, growing up in Hereford, Texas where there are more cows than there are people. As a teenager, her and her family moved to Amarillo.
Raygan graduated from Amarillo College with her associate's in mass communications. In 2022, she transferred to the University of North Texas where she earned her bachelor's in journalism from the Mayborn School of Journalism.
Raygan had the privilege of beginning her news career back home in Amarillo where she covered politics, crime, feel-goods, education, and investigation. In 2025, Raygan was awarded 'Best Investigative Report’ from the Texas Broadcasting Association. While advocacy and investigative journalism are her favorite stories to cover, she also enjoys covering community stories.
In her free time, Raygan loves spending time with her family, specifically the family dogs Bella, Koba, and Panchito. You may run into Raygan at local farmers markets, flea markets, shopping centers, local coffee, and food places as she explores the Waco area. Don’t be afraid to say hello!
