TEMPLE, TX — RosieJo Meals has been in business for 5 years, owner Katie Wells also has a catering company on top of that, cooking is truly her passion.
"I worked at the TCBY here in Temple, that was my first job, and I just always loved cooking I like feeding people," Wells said.
RosieJo is a meal prep delivery service that gives you the right portions and healthier options we're all looking for.
"Just reheat and eat, it's really healthy, we've done all the work, you aren't getting ingredients that you don't have to prep yourself," Wells said.
The convenience of the meals is what caught Sally Damon Phillps' eyes.
"If I'm hungry and unprepared I don't have to make a poor choice I just go to the refrigerator or the freezer and pull something out," Sally Phillips said.
At the end of the day, it's a win-win because you're eating healthy and supporting a local business.
"They're still having to pay bills. the life didn't shut down because the world has," Damon Phillips said.
Of course, the pandemic has changed so many business models and for RosieJo meals they're thankful for the community support.
Thanks to the pandemic, Wells has been looking on the brighter side when it comes to her business strategy.
"It's forced us to look at new ways of serving people, which is what we're here to do," Wells said.
