April Fools' Day pranks are upon us and some Texas agencies have jumped in on the fun.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office posted on Monday about a new "Cell Phone Terminator" that looks similar to a radar gun. The department joked the Cell Phone Terminator "uses Gamma Ray technology to fry the electronic motherboard of an offender's phone from up to 300 yards away, permanently rendering the phone useless."

Texas Parks and Wildlife joined in on the pranking by announcing that Lockhart State Park is the new home of the State Jackalope Herd.

"After decades of careful conservation, we're ready to share these symbold of Texas heritage with the public," the post read.
