(KXXV) — Could a visit to the park be exactly what the doctor ordered?
Research from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Occupational Therapy suggests, no matter whether someone exercised or not during their visit, spending at least 20 minutes in an urban park could make a person happier.
During the study, 94 park visitors from three public parks answered questions on their well-being before and after their visit to the parks.
Researchers found significant improvements in the visitors well being after their trip to the park.
