WACO, TX — As a way to give back to those at the front lines in our community, the Salvation Army has started ‘Thankful Tuesday.’

Each Tuesday, fire, EMS, military, veterans, teachers and heath care workers will receive 25% off of all purchases at the Salvation Army Waco Store.

"We just want to say thanks to these heroes in our community for what they do every single day, and taking care of one another and making Waco a much better place to live" explained Major James Taylor of Salvation Army Waco.

Able to operate through community donations, Taylor reminds the community, none of the items the Salvation Army has been purchased, all are donated, and those donations allow the group to support the community."

Salvation army thrives on donations, we don't purchase anything we sell in our store everything is a donation so it’s by the charitable giving of this community that the salvation army is able to do what we do" concluded Taylor.

If you have donations the Salvation Army has open doors for door off.
