The first rapid-diagnostic test for COVID-19 has been approved by the FDA.
The test is made by a California-based company named Cephied and can detect COVID-19 in about 45 minutes.
Cephied says they can start shipping the tests next week.
According to clinicians, faster testing will help alleviate some of the pressure on hospital resources.
Some patients have complained that it has taken them days to get their coronavirus results.
