Starbucks has announced two new colorful iced drinks for the Spring season.
The green Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink and the yellow Iced Golden Ginger Drink are now on the menu.
Both beverages are nondairy.
The bright yellow Golden Ginger Drink blends ginger, pineapple, and turmeric flavors with coconut milk and ice.
“We were inspired by Venice Beach and the California sun, reminiscent of a L.A. kind of vibe,” said Kris Murray, product specialist for the Starbucks Beverage Research & Development team.
The Iced Pineapple Matcha combines matcha green tea with both pineapple and ginger flavors, as well as coconut milk and ice.
“Iced Pineapple Matcha Drink is the perfect blend of pineapple and matcha with a hint of coconut,” Murray said. “At first sip, you get some of that pineapple flavor complimented by the coconutmilk, with matcha and ginger flavors really shining through at the end.”
