H-E-B and Great Value taco seasoning have been pulled from shelves due to a possible salmonella contamination.
Great Value Mild Taco Seasoning Mix, and H-E-B Taco Seasoning Mix Reduced Sodium are the products affected by the recall, said Williams Foods, LLC in a release. The packages affected by the recall weigh 1 – 1.25 oz.
Check your seasoning mix's "Best By" dates listed in the table below to see if you purchased a potentially contaminated product.
The packets contain the cumin spice, which was part of a recall by a Williams Foods supplier, Mincing Spice Co. Mincing issued recalls for a "specific lot of cumin" because a sample tested by a Mincing customer was found to have a potential salmonella contamination.
Customers should check the "Best By" dates listed on the back of the packages:
According to Williams Foods, LLC:
Consumers who have purchased the product with the above "Best By" dates are urged not to consume the product but to discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
