A man wanted for allegedly murdering his new bride less than 24 hours after marrying her has been named to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List.

The FBI said they are looking for Arnoldo Jimenez.

His wife, 26-year-old Estrella Carrera, was found dead in the bathtub of her Burbank, Illinois, home still in the dress she wore to her wedding reception.

Jimenez and Carrera married in a city hall ceremony on May 11, 2012, and then attended a celebration with family and friends.

Police and the FBI said they believe Jimenez and his bride got into an argument in the car as they were traveling home from the reception in the early morning hours of May 12, 2012.

“We believe she was stabbed in the vehicle and then dragged back into the apartment and left bleeding in the bathtub,” said Special Agent Steve Barnard, who is working the case out of the FBI’s Chicago Field Office.

The next day, Carrera's family became alarmed when she did not arrive to pick up her three children as planned.

The family asked to perform a wellness check the next day, and Carrera's body was discovered.

“He has a criminal past and a history of violence,” Barnard said, stressing that multiple law enforcement agencies have put considerable time into investigating the case and searching for Jimenez: “We want to bring him to justice.”

Jimenez is now 37 years old and is reported to be 6 feet tall, between 200-225 pounds and with black hair and brown eyes.

He may have fled to Durango, Mexico.

If anyone has any information on Jimenez's whereabouts, you are asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
