BALTIMORE, MD — One company's employees just got the surprise of a lifetime!
At a company Christmas party, they learned they would each be getting a huge bonus, with a total of $10 million being given out to the company's 198 employees.
The $10 million bonus was handed out based completely on years of service. They added that only five employees knew about the big announcement prior to the party.
On average, each employee received about $50,000 as their bonus.
“To celebrate the achievement of our goal, we wanted to reward our employees in a big way that would make a significant impact on their lives,” said Edward St. John. “I am thankful for every one of our employees, for their hard work and dedication. I couldn’t think of a better way to show it.”
St. John Properties, a commercial real estate company, says the bonus was possible because they met their goal of developing 20 million square feet of space.
