Burger King announces 'Whopper Loans' to help pay off student loans

WACO, TX — Burger King announced its new "Whopper Loans" program on Thursday that will give customers a chance to have their student loans paid off.

Customers who make a purchase through the Burger King app will be prompted to supply their email address and the amount of their monthly student loan payment.

There is also a mail-in option to participate.

The contest goes from May 23 through May 31. Each week, there will be 150 prizes. There will be one grand prize winner that will receive a payoff of up to $100,000.

Burger King plans to pay out a total of $250,000 to winners.
