Suspect in custody after components to make an explosive were found in garage

LEADNER, TX — UPDATE: The suspect is in custody, according to WCSO.

"We do not believe there is any danger to the public at this time," deputies said.

The Austin Police Bomb Squad will be removing components to make an explosive from the home, according to WCSO.

Kathleen Cv. will remain closed for several hours while they complete the removal.

Neighbors will not need to evacuate.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of explosives in a garage in Leander.

WCSO says a home on the 2500 block of Kathleen Cv in Leander has possible explosives inside the garage.

Police were evacuating residents near and around the 2500 block of Kathleen Cv.
