Southstar Bank to present $50,000 to the community of Franklin for tornado relief

SouthStar Bank of Franklin has been collecting funds for several weeks to go towards tornado relief efforts in the community and hopes to surpass its goal of $50,000, which includes a matching contribution of $25,000 from the bank.

SouthStar Bank is overcome by the outpouring of support and will host a Franklin Appreciation Breakfast on Monday, May 13 at 9 a.m. to announce funds raised and present a check to the city.

The appreciation breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a check presentation to Franklin Mayor Molly Hedrick at 10 a.m.

As a reminder, donations will be accepted through Friday, May 10 at 5 p.m. With continued support, the bank is confident of meeting its $50,000 goal.
