THRALL, TX — Services have been scheduled for Chaplain Willie Herzer, who served the Thrall Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years.
Chaplain Willie Herzer was an active member with the department up until his passing Tuesday, according to a post by Thrall VFD.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th at the St. John Lutheran Church, located at 409 Main Street in Thrall, with a viewing from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
A viewing will also be held on Friday, October 18th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Condra Funeral Home, located at 503 Talbot Street in Taylor.
After Saturday's service, there will be a vehicle procession to Taylor City Cemetery , where Chaplain Herzer will be buried with honors.
The City of Thrall will have the water tower "bathed in red" Saturday evening in honor of Chaplain Herzer and his service.
