WACO, TX — These working groups have been called superheroes and are implementing plans to make Waco better.

Five of the groups tackle education-related topics and have worked to support schools as they have had to deal with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, by getting meals and school supplies to students that need them.

These groups know that it takes a team to see success.

"You can't do it alone. There's no one person that you can do it and affect it, and make the systemic change you need on your own. That's the idea of the superheroes, when you combine the avengers, when all come to rally around a cause, then you're able to look at making a better Waco for all," says Hermann Pereira, Senior Education and Workforce Specialists at Prosper Waco

Prosper Waco has seventeen total working groups that look to improve Waco in different areas.
