An investigation is underway after a pastor's grave was dug up and vandalized in Limestone County.
The Limestone County Sheriff's Office says they received a call Monday at 9:26 AM.
When deputies arrived on scene, the pastors grave had been dug up and vandalized.
Deputies say the grave was dug up all the way to the casket.
The pastor died in March. According to the family, they visited the grave on June 4th and did not return until Aug. 2.
Due to that information, Limestone County deputies believe the incident happened between June 4 and Aug 2.
"We are doing everything we can to find the ones responsible," said Limestone County Sheriff's Dennis Wilson.
