BRAZOS COUNTY, TX — The number of suspected cases of a severe lung disease associated with vaping and e-cigarettes has increased to three in Brazos County.
According to the Brazos County Health District, as of Friday, September 13, three suspected cases of vaping associated lung disease have been reported to Brazos County.
BCHD says all three cases are being investigated by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
As of Friday, there are 25 confirmed cases of the severe lung disease in Texas, one of those being in Central Texas. Of those 25, most of the patients are teens and required hospitalization.
There have been at least six deaths from the illness.
