BRYAN, TX — A man was arrested after a three-hour standoff with deputies Tuesday.

According to the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, around 3 p.m., deputies were called out to 3053 Luza Lane to help Child Protective Services by checking the welfare of a child.

When deputies arrived, they saw Anthony Luza had barricaded himself inside the home. The sheriff's office activated SWAT and Hostage Negotiations Teams.

After a three-hour standoff, Luza was arrested on two outstanding warrants and charged with aggravated assault of a public servant and possession of a controlled substance.

BCSO says no one else was in the home at the time.
