ROCKDALE, Texas — The Rockdale Municipal Development District demolished a building along West Cameron Avenue with plans to rebuild the property.
The district bought the building in November for about $80,000.
The demolition is the first step in the district's plan to encourage more growth in the city.
The district stated on Facebook that it's not done with the demolition process yet.
But officials are planning to rebuild on the property and make it available for purchase.
