Baylor University on Friday announced the death of Brett James.
The country music star, a member of the Class of '91 at Baylor, died Thursday at age 57.
James was the Grammy-winning songwriter of ‘Jesus, Take the Wheel’, and also a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
He was killed in a small-engine airplane crash on Sept. 18.
