UPDATE:
Fort Cavazos officials confirm there was no active-shooter incident on post in the cantonment area, and that Fort Cavazos was never in lockdown Saturday.
Chris Haug, Director of Public Affairs with Fort Cavazos, said in a statement that the incident in question happened at BLORA and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Haug tells 25 News that there was an argument that went bad, but did not involve any military or Department of Defense personnel. The people involved in the argument were just using their recreation area.
Haug said someone in the Emergency Operation Center (EOC) pushed a button, and they're looking into what happened, adding they, "can't deny that the message went out."
The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division is taking over the investigation.
