Repairs complete on damaged water main in Marlin, water pressure should start to return to customers

UPDATE 6:35 p.m.:
The City of Marlin says repairs to the damaged water main are now complete and affected homes and businesses should start to see water pressure come back over the next few hours.

"We apologize for the temporary, localized loss of pressure or service. Thank you to our Public Works team for their prompt response to this incident and to our citizens and businesses for their patience and understanding," the city said.

Portions of the City of Marlin are experiencing reduce or no water pressure after the city says a contractor hit a water main near the Royal Drive water tower Thursday afternoon.

Public Works crews are working on repairing the damage and to restore service to customers, and the estimated time of water restoration is around 6:15 p.m.
