UPDATE Nov. 10 at 12:17 p.m.:
The City of Bryan confirmed that a city employee and city vehicle was involved in the train crash that shutdown several crossings and intersections towards the downtown area Friday around 1 p.m.
The city said the city truck's trailer being towed was hit by the train and no injuries were reported.
The employee driving the truck received a traffic citation and is not permitted to drive on the job while the incident is under investigation, the city said in a statement.
"A City of Bryan employee was involved in a vehicle and train collision Friday at West Dodge Street and Finfeather Road. The city truck’s trailer was struck by the train. No injuries were reported. City policy requires all employees to complete a National Safety Council–approved defensive driving course within 90 days of hire and every three years after that. The employee received a traffic citation and is not permitted to drive on the job while the incident is under investigation."
Union Pacific also gave a statement to 15 ABC, adding that no train crew members were injured in the incident.

The Bryan Police Department is on scene of a train versus vehicle crash at the intersection of Dodge and Finfeather Road.
Police say the train is stopped and blocking multiple intersections towards the downtown area.
The South Park Street and Sims Avenue crossings are open, but you can expect significant delays.
