HILL COUNTY, TX — The Hill County Sheriff's Office says the Commissioners Court approved a request to appoint an Environmental Deputy to deal with illegal dumping in the area.
Deputy Ward has completed field training through the HCSO, and has been performing his duties for two months.
This initiative to fully fund this position came about due to the amount of illegal dumping that occurs in the unincorporated parts of Hill County.
All four County Commissioners approved this initiative and work closely with us when illegal dumping and quality of life problems arise.
HCSO says Deputy Ward will file criminal charges on those responsible for illegal dumping.
