Days after lifting food restrictions, H-E-B is enforcing purchase limits on meat in certain stores.

The limits apply to H-E-B stores in Central Texas, San Antonio, the Gulf Coast and border region, along with certain West and North Texas towns.

The grocery chain is limiting fresh beef, ground beef, chicken, pork and turkey to five total packages, not five of each. However, H-E-B says some stores may have stricter limits based on supply.

H-E-B is still limiting purchases on non-food items such as hand santizer, hand soap, masks and gloves.

On Wednesday, the store lifted purchase limits on toilet paper and paper towels.
