BRYAN, TX — People in College Station paid tribute to the fallen heroes of 9/11 in their own special way.

The Bryan Fire Department kicked off its annual Memorial Stair Climb precisely at 8:30 Wednesday morning, the same time that the first plane crashed into the North tower.

Many first responders in their full gear climbed a total of 110 floors, which was the same height as the Twin Towers.

"I'm on flight number 10 right now, and I'm feeling pretty hot to be honest," said one first responder.
"I can't even imagine what was going through the mind of those first responders that day, going up those towers that were on fire, knowing the outcome may not be good." said Bryan Fire Department Chief Randy Mcgregor.

A few people also brought their young children to the stair climb, in order to make sure September 11 is never forgotten.
