MARLIN, TX — The Falls County Sheriff's Office arrested a Marlin man for manufacture and delivery of meth.
Deputies say they were assisting the Marlin Police Department with a directive to apprehend a juvenile subject on March 7.
While at the residence in the 200 block of Donahue, the deputy saw evidence of illegal substance possession and use.
The deputy searched the residence and found just over eight grams of methamphetamine, scales, a small scalpel and small baggies used to package the meth for resale.
37-year-old Cornelius Armstead of Marlin was arrested and booked into the Falls County Jail on charges of manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine in an amount more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams.

He was also found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Sheriff Scaman said that he was very proud of how attentive his deputies were in finding the clues necessary to seek consent to search the residence.
"This was a good example of how there is no substitute for good law enforcement from experienced deputies," Scaman said.
