COPPERAS COVE, TX — Two missing teenagers from Copperas Cove have been located.

The Copperas Cove Police Department said following Central Texas News Now's story about the missing teenagers, they received a phone call from someone saying they thought they saw the girls somewhere in East Texas.

After that phone call CCPD received another call, this time from the teens' biological father.

He told police he received a call from a restricted number telling him where the girls were.

He said he picked them up from Mount Pleasant, nearly four hours away from Copperas Cove, where the girls went missing Jan. 19.

Police didn't release any further details about where exactly the girls were found.

The Deer Park Police Department confirms they are in the father's custody for now, and they are safe.

Christina Cook said her granddaughters, Aaliyah and Alexis Kennedy, had been missing since Jan. 19.

"It's been two months and a day today and we don't know where else to go or what else to do," Cooke said. "They are very special little girls and I am worried that they are out there with all the sex trafficking and drug trafficking going on in the world today."

According to officials, the teens were found in a different city and with their biological father and mother, who do not have custody.

The teens have been in the custody of their aunt, Anna, for a little over five years.

"Not knowing where they are at or what someone might be doing to them. They could end up dead in a ditch somewhere," Cook said.

It is unclear if charges will be filed at this time.
