COPPERAS COVE, TX — Every Texan knows the best thing on a hot day is a scoop of ice cream. But what about 16 SCOOPS of ice cream? Served in a DOG BOWL?

If you are up for the challenge, this Copperas Cove ice cream shop is the place to go.

Waffle Cone in Copperas Cove offers a $100 prize for those worthy of completing the task. In order to compete, you have to eat 16 scoops of ice cream, 1 can of whipped cream, hot fudge, caramel, cookies, candies, waffle chips and cherries.

This concoction is known as "The Dawg." It costs $50 if you fail.

So how long do you have to complete the challenge?

The challenge is called "The Sands of Time" for a reason. You have to choose an hourglass and finish the 16-scoops before time runs out.

All ice cream is handmade in small batches at Waffle Cone each day - so if you are incapable of tackling "The Dawg," you can choose a smaller treat, like a scoop of homemade cookie monster.

They also make "Spaghetti Ice Cream." This is made of vanilla ice cream, strawberry puree, and white chocolate shavings. It looks like spaghetti - but it tastes like heaven!

Oh and great news - they also serve snow cones, or Hawaiian Ice.
