The day camps are for 5-12 year old children of essential employees who are important for supporting the infrastructure needed to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in the region.

BGCTX Day Camps will being operating Monday, March 30 and will continue Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 PM until such time that pandemic related emergency child care solutions are no longer required.

Families interested in the day camps may enroll at bgctx.org or at day camp sites.

Proof of mission-essential employment and local residency are required.

BGCTX says resources are limited and day camps will be provided to families upon availability and priority for employee function.

Day Camps will provide youth of mission-essential families with a safe place, positive adult supervision, exposure to traditional Boys & Girls Clubs youth development programs, and a minimum of two meals and a snack per day.

Day Camps will comply with local, state and CDC COVID-19 guidelines. Together BGCTX and our community partners will observe rigid safety measures associated with disinfection, health screenings for participants and proper health care modeling during Day Camps.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Waco says enrollment is now open for online submissions and will be ready to accept submissions in person at the Club starting Monday the 30th.

"For the safety and health of all involved, we ask that you please leave the little ones at home during the application submission process," the post said.
