TROY, TX — The Elm Creek Water Supply Corporation has issued a Boil Water Notice in Troy.

The Boil Water Notice is due to a leak on West Elm Road and affects customers in the area beginning at the intersection of McLennan Road and West Big Elm Road in Troy.

The affected area proceeds west all the way down West Big Elm Rd. to the dead end.

This boil water notice does not include residents who receive water service from the City of Troy.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption.

The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from another suitable source.

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for consumption.

If you have any questions regarding this matter you may contact the Elm Creek Water Supply Office at (254)853-3838.
