GATESVILLE, TX — The City of Gatesville has lifted the boil water notice issued on August 16. The city says it is now safe for customers to consume the water.

A boil water notice was issued for the City of Gatesville after an emergency repair of a water transmission line.

According to the City, an emergency repair needed to be made to a transmission line at the intersection of State Highway 36 and County Road 931.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required the Gatesville Regional Water System to notify customers north of County Road 931 to boil their water prior to consumption.

The boil water notice included customers that receive water from Gatesville, Mountain Water Supply, Fort Gates Water Supply and Coryell City Water Supply.
