Benefit to be held for Chief Krumnow Saturday at Tradinghouse Bar & Grill

WACO, TX — A benefit is being held for Riesel Police Chief Danny Krumnow on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. at Tradinghouse Bar & Grill.

Chief Krumnow is expected to be released any moment now after being transferred to a rehab facility closer to his home on Oct. 29.

Police Chief Krumnow was injured in the crash on Highway 6 that killed Falls County Deputy Matt Jones and left Krumnow in critical condition.

The benefit is being sponsored by many local companies as well as large organizations, including Tradinghouse Bar & Grill, Read's Food Store, Riesel Lions Club, Riesel Masonic Lodge, Frontier Waste Solutions and Thrivent Financial, and D&T Sales - Eckermann's Sausage.

The event will include "great food, gun raffles, 50/50 raffle, auctions, and more."

There will be live music by Steve Dansby, Tiffany Valentine, Trey Stephenson, Colton Hawkins, Ben Rendek, Gordon Collier & Jim redding, The Nothing Serious Band, and Mack Abernathy Band will play last at 8 p.m.

There will also be a silent auction, which is expected to include items like tickets to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Cody Jinks floor tickets, and more.
