WACO, TX — BTU and College Station Utilities will resume assessing late penalties starting on June 15, according to joint press release.
Starting June 2, letters will be mailed to customers explaining various payment options to set up and how to request payment arrangements. This was after three months of suspending late fees and disconnections due to nonpayment during COVID-19.
On July 2, customers will begin to receive termination notices and disconnections earliest as July 15 without payment.
Customers are encouraged to contact organizations that can assist by making pledges or to contact BTU for payment arrangements.
