KILLEEN, TX — The United States Army Criminal Investigation Division from Fort Hood requested the assistance of the Killeen Police Department in locating and recovering missing pieces of ordnance from post.
The missing pieces were stored in different homes across the Killeen.
The Fort Hood Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit assisted KPD.
Four neighborhoods were evacuated due to being in imminent danger. Those neighborhoods were Splawn Ranch, Hunt Drive, Transit Drive and Carol Way.
A little after 10 p.m. Friday, the missing pieces of ordnance were recovered and removed by the EOD Unit without incident.
The people were allowed to return to their homes at that time.
