Texans can check if there are sex offenders in a neighborhood before taking their trick or treaters out on Halloween.
The Texas Department of Public Safety posted a list of safety tips for parents ahead of taking their children out to trick or treat. One of those tips included checking the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry.
The registry includes a mapping function to allow Texans to check for registered sex offenders who may be living in their neighborhood.
Individuals can also report suspicious or local activity to local authorities or through the free iWatch Texas mobile app.
