The University of Texas at Arlington is under a shelter-in-place after a 13-year-old was seen walking towards campus carrying what is believed to be a rifle.
UT Arlington Police issued a MavAlert around 3:10 p.m. The suspect is described as 13-years-old, 5 feet 6 inches tall with dark hair wearing black pants and believed to be carrying a rifle. He was last seen walking northbound from the 1200 block of Davis Drive towards the university.

University police are searching the area.
