Texas has ranked number 39 on a list of "Most & Least Educated States in America."
A report from Wallethub, "examined the key factors of a well-educated population: educational attainment, school quality and achievement gaps between genders and races."
According to their data, Texas has the second-lowest percentage of high school diploma holders, and comes in 37th in percentage of adults with at least some college experience.
Texas also comes in first when it comes to the achievement gap between genders, and 5th in the achievement gap between races.
Wallethub said "in order to determine the most and least educated states in America" they "compared the 50 states across two key dimensions, Educational Attainment and Quality of Education."
