SAN ANTONIO — An elderly woman in San Antonio was beaten and choked after she attempted to help some teens on March 10, according to Fox San Antonio.
They said that the woman noticed two teens in her neighborhood that appeared to have a flat tire. She offered them a ride to the nearby Whataburger.
After eating, the woman returned the teens to their vehicle. It was then that she realized her purse was missing. She asked the teens to see if she left the purse in their car.
While she was looking through the teens' car for her purse, one of them grabbed her and starting choking her. They took her keys and stole her car.
Detectives were able to locate the suspects through surveillance footage at the Whataburger. 19-year-old Jose Carbajal was arrested the next day.
He is currently being held at the Bexar County Jail. He has been charged with aggravated robbery, and his bond has not been set.
