A woman was taken to the hospital after she attempted suicide on W. Loop 340/Highway 6 and Waco Drive.
Waco police said that the incident happened just after 8 p.m. Police said that the woman was attempting to jump from the Highway 6 access road overpass onto eastbound W. Waco Drive.
She suffered nonlife-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.
Eastbound lanes were closed for 20 to 30 minutes, according to police.
