WACO, TX — A Waco restaurant is getting attention from the Cooking Channel with an appearance on one of its shows this week.
The Cooking Channel's "Man, Fire, Food" was in Waco back in February to see how Guess Family Barbecue uses wood-fired methods to make delicious meals. They filmed the episode right before the COVID-19 pandemic started and affected how businesses operated across the country.
"I feel proud about that. I feel like I've been part of something that has gotten attention to Waco and barbecue attention to Waco," said Reid Guess, owner of Guess Family Barbecue.
The episode of "Man, Fire, Food" airs on June 24 and will feature items from their popular brunch menu served only on Sundays.
